Oil Changes and Lube Service
Oil changes are extremely important for the life of your vehicle. Motor oil is the lubrication between the moving parts of the engine, so it reduces friction and the wear and tear of those moving parts. Motor oil also cleans and cools the engine. So, it is crucial to maintain regular oil changes and use quality motor oil. Oil changes are recommended every 3,000 - 5,000 miles depending on the vehicle and the type of oil you use. Here at Nelson AutoWorks, we use Napa brand oil and can usually get you in and out in about 30 minutes. Have a specific oil you prefer? No problem, we'll use what you request.
Tire Repair
Just as important are the tires on your vehicle! And tire pressure is just as important to the tires themselves. It is key to maintaining healthy tires. The recommended tire pressure can be found on the inside of your driver door. Always be sure to keep the tire pressure at the recommended PSI for safety and longevity of your tires. Sometimes though, misfortune does happen and when it does, we're here for you. Whenever possible, we try to save the tire with the appropriate fix. We locate the hole and patch it securely.
Tire Sales
There is no typical life-span of a tire. It very much depends on the miles you travel and the tire itself. However, you should always keep an eye on the tread of your tires. When they are beginning to wear thin to about 2/32 of inch, they need replacing. Whether you need truck tires, trailer, tractor, SUV or recreational tires, we've got you covered.
